How can you manage the side effects of retinol?
Making small adjustments to your skincare routine may help reduce the redness and irritation that can come with using retinol. It might help to:
- Use only one retinol product at a time.
- Use retinol every other day rather than every day.
- Use retinol more often by layering moisturizer over the top
- Wait 30 minutes after washing your face before applying your retinol product.
- Avoid retinol products if you have a sunburn, broken skin or other skin irritations.
- Use SPF 30 and wear sun protective clothing and hats to reduce your exposure to the sun.
If you use retinol, you’ll sunburn more easily, which can damage your skin. Using high doses of retinol may also be associated with the development of skin cancer. Be sure to wear sunscreen and avoid direct sunlight (with clothing and hat) while you use retinol products.

The Effective lower PH Balance of 3.5 Restores and Rectifies as a nightly treatment with a high content of Glycolic Acid, Sodium Glycolate (15%) and Retinyl Palmitate. It is Recommended for All Types of Non-sensitive skin types and skin that is beginning to show signs of aging. We recommend applying to the face once to two per week for the first week. Gradually acclimate your skin for 3-4 times per week. Because Excessive Drying of the Skin May Occur, Start With 1-2 nights per week and then Gradually Increase to more nights. The outer layer of

I am 57 years old and I'm having typical issues relating to aging skin such as rough patches and age spots. I have only used this product three times every other night but I can already see and feel such a difference in the smoothness and texture of the skin on my face. I have been applying a light layer before I go to bed and there is definitely a moderate amount of tingling (but nothing really uncomfortable) then I apply a light layer of moisturizing cream which really seems to help the tingling issue. The rough, patchy areas on my forehead and along my cheekbone are gone and my face feels so soft. I have experienced a slight redness on my face in the morning that is usually gone by early afternoon. I think that might be because I'm getting used to the product but the slight redness for me is not a dealbreaker for this wonderful cream. I am also rubbing it on the back of my hands every night. I truly cannot believe how soft they are feeling and how much the crepe appearance on the backs of my hands is smoothing out. I have tried many, many products and I wish I had found this sooner.

This is the first time that a write a review and I hope that those that have stains on their face as I have will give a try to this product. I am a woman of 40 years and after four pregnancies I could not get rid of those terrible stains on my face anymore. Especially during summer. I tried many different products before, but this is the only product that gave me visible results. The first couple of days, my skin was more sensitive, so I used it with my moisturizing cream for about 10 days. I have been using it for about 3 months now and I love it. For the first time, after many years, my skin looked homogeneous. I still have some more resistant stains on my cheek, but the most are gone. Will keep purchasing it!

Best glycolic product ever!! This is one of the best glycolic acid creams I've ever used! I currently use this cream as a night cream since aha is very sensitive during the day. I slightly start to see that my pore got smaller and my face's texture is glowing. I am very satisfied & recommend this product.

It's just the best! I'm what some might call a 'skincare addict.' if you're a newbie to skin care and are wondering what glycolic acid is, let me tell you: it's one of the few ingredients that chemically exfoliates very effectively and promotes collagen, corrects for dark spots, and best of yet: prevents and eradicates acne! I'll be buying this product again once I'm done with my other one: that being said, this lasts a while. It provides the sting that I like so much too, despite the fact that I consider myself as having neutral/resistant skin. If you have serums (retinol, vit c, or hylauronic), I would apply them first, then this, then moisturize.
