A Little Bit About Peptides

Posted by kelly ozmon on 08-20-2021

There is so much to learn about Peptides. I recently did a video on Marilyn Mask for our Channel, Joli Visage on Youtube. I did another deep dive to remind myself why I love the many peptides that are in the paper mask and many of our products like Neuropeptide Serum Triple Effect Hyaluronic Serum. This is what I found and a reminder of why our products work. The high concentration of active ingredients that are scientifically proven from companies like Sederma the headquartered ingredient manufacturer in France.

The Six Peptides I love are highlighted below:

Oligopeptide, It tells the skin to produce more collagen, elastin and essential components of connective tissue which increases firmness and plumper skin. Clients tell me that one of their favorite products is the Neuropeptide Serum. There is a visible change after 2 weeks and when combined with our EGF/Epidermal Growth Serum can really accelerate the process of improvement!

We have been researching formula's and are excited to launch a new Copper Peptide. I love the amount of Copper Peptides that are present in the Marilyn Mask and use this mask 2-3 times per week.

Copper Peptides increase skin smoothness, firmness, and Copper peptides serve as an antioxidant, promote collagen and elastin production and also remove damaged collagen and elastin from the skin.

Another Peptide that is so beneficial is Tripeptide, also known by the acronym “GHK” for the amino acids that comprise it (glycine, histidine, and lysine), tripeptide-1 is a synthetic signal peptide known to work with copper in skin to visibly repair substances that have begun to deteriorate due to age and sun exposure.

I recently started using Sculpt & Contour Creme to lift and tighten around my eyes and forehead. It does a great job and lasts all day. But, to my surprise when I washed my face at the end of the day, I could see long-lasting results. This formula is packed full of Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 that is Commercially known as Argireline, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is a synthetic peptide made from a protein found in Botox. It's primarily used as anactive ingredient in anti-wrinkle and anti-aging creamsor serums. It's designed to reduce wrinkles around the mouth and eyes, and on the forehead and cheeks among other areas. I don't start my day without this product!

Lastly Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 is considered to be as effective against wrinkles as retinol, but less irritating. It is thought that pentapeptides can communicate with a cell and program it to do specific things, including repair work.

My research takes time as it takes me awhile to absorb all the reasons each peptide is good for the skin! I will share it with you.

Try a product with peptides and see a visible change!
