Skincare Protocol for Hormonal Breakouts
Posted by kelly ozmon on 08-01-2023
Hormonal Breakouts are very challenging for woman. The up's and down's of irritated skin with pustules, and acne throughout each month can be very frustrating. In this protocol we want to regulate oil production, calm the skin and lighten pigmentation.
Here's how we do it:
Morning routine is a deep 2-3 minute cleansing with AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser, 2-3 times per week use Retinol 2% Exfoliating Scrub/mask. Apply Skin Script Mint Refining Toner. This toner contains a probiotic to normalize skin flora, reduce redness and minimize pores and follow the steps below.
AM: Morning Homecare:
- AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser
- Cleanse: Glycolic Cleanser (use 2-3 times per week)
- Exfoliate: Retinol 2% Exfoliating Scrub/Mask (use 2-3 times per week)
- Tone: Mint Refining Toner
- Eyes: Peptide Eye Serum
- Hydrate: Light Aloe Moisturizer
- Protect: Sunscreen
- Cleanse: Charcoal Clay Cleanser
- Tone: Mint Refining Toner
- Tone: Glycolic and Retinol Pads (use 2-3 times per week in lieu of Mint Refining Toner)
- Eyes: Peptide Eye Serum
- Hydrate: Niacinamide B-3 Lipid Repair Cream
Beauty sleep is essential. Make sure you get enough rest because your skin rejuvenates during sleep. Consider using a silk pillowcase to reduce friction and prevent breakouts caused by irritation.
And there you have it, darling! A fabulous skincare routine to tackle hormonal breakouts and reveal your radiant, glowing self. Remember to be patient and consistent with your routine, and you'll soon be embracing the skin you've always dreamed of. Happy pampering!
